Be the true you

When it comes to the technicalities of the job, you're ready for anything. At the same time, you can inspire and motivate the team to deliver excellent results. You have the courage to try new things and to keep learning, even if there are setbacks along the way. For the role of Manager in Technology Strategy, you:

  • Have a master's degree; technology‑related studies such as Business Information Management, Engineering or Informatics are preferred.
  • Have 6–10 years' relevant and demonstrable work experience, most of it in consulting.
  • Have advised CIOs, with proven experience on projects of this type.
  • Have prior working experience and a client network in any of the Technology, Media or Telecom sectors.
  • Have a deep understanding of, and a clear vision for, technology‑related developments.
  • Are ambitious, commercially minded and entrepreneurial.
  • Are a team player and fluent in both English and Dutch.

What impact will you make?

At Deloitte Technology Strategy, you are the partner of choice for our clients’ most critical, complex and disruptive technology challenges across the Netherlands and beyond. Working closely with colleagues across Deloitte's Consulting practice, you bridge business and technology, advising on and delivering technology‑enabled business transformations in Technology, Media and Telecom.

The TMT-sector faces uniquely complex technology‑strategy challenges: businesses are scaling faster than the IT organisations that serve them; global, mission‑critical operations run on infrastructure, governance and teams that were built for a fraction of today’s complexity; there is pressure to keep costs flat in the face of surging AI compute demand and rising TCO. These factors create complex problems that demand both business acumen and technical vision. Our TMT clients navigate market consolidation, evolving consumer behaviour and the imperative to monetise digital transformation, making this sector one of the most dynamic and strategically critical domains for technology strategy today.

Our team is growing, and we are looking for aspiring leaders to deliver immediate value to our clients and help the firm deliver services of the highest calibre. You will work with and learn from some of the top practitioners in the industry and develop our talent to become recognised leaders in Technology Strategy

How do you do this?

Using your experience and industry network, you will lead projects that deliver crucial value to our Technology, Media and Telecom clients. Projects range from fast‑paced strategy assignments to complex, tech‑enabled business transformations. Typical projects include:

  • IT strategy development: Assist clients in defining their technology strategy and roadmap that supports their business strategy. Ensure that IT acts as a key enabler of business value.
  • IT operating model redesign: Support the CIO and leadership team to redefine the IT operating model and to detail the capabilities required for IT to fulfil its role as a business partner.
  • IT capability assessment: Assess the IT function’s maturity and/or technology landscape, identifying initiatives the CIO can use to improve service quality or reduce service costs.
  • IT landscape assessment: Assess the technical state and functional relevance of IT landscapes to enable organisations to simplify or transform their technology landscape in a controlled manner.
  • IT sourcing assessment: Assess and realign the IT function’s sourcing mix (including cloud) to improve service quality, reduce cost of service and/or increase operational agility.
  • Technology transformation planning: Shape and structure technology‑led (business) transformation programmes, value cases, investment roadmaps and execution plans. Programmes often involve disruptive new technologies and/or ways of working (e.g. cloud,  artificial intelligence, robotics, SAFe, DevOps).

You can upload your CV and a motivation letter. We will send you a confirmation when we have received all your details.
    Step 3: The assessment
    Video thumbnail
When a recruiter sees enough of a match with your profile, we will ask you to complete an online assessment. By playing four online games, we can see which qualities and talents you possess and whether they align with the position you've applied for.
    Step 4: The interview
    Video thumbnail
Depending on the scores of the career scan, you will be invited for a first interview with the recruiter. The first interview is held with a recruiter and someone from the team. We are curious about who you are, what you have done and what you expect from a new job. We also give you more insight into what we are looking for and what the tasks are that belong to the position. If both parties would like to discuss it further, you will be invited for a next interview. In these conversations, we go deeper into the content. What is your talent and what skills do you manage? You can during one of the next interviews get a case study.
    Step 5: The offer
When all conversations have been satisfactorily completed (for both parties), an offer will follow. The recruiter will draw up the contract for you which you will receive digitally.
